Tax Manager

Position Summary

Novogradac & Company LLP is searching for a Tax Manager to join our fast‑growing firm. The Tax Manager will manage tax assignments as designated by the Principal or Partner. The Manager should operate with minimal supervision, focus on supervising and mentoring Staff and Senior Accountants, independently solve problems, strengthen and develop client relationships, and increase office profitability. Some positions may be open to remote or hybrid work arrangements depending on business needs. Please discuss available options with your recruiter.

Your Contributions and Responsibilities

• Assume primary responsibility for client engagements, including planning, staffing, timing, and technical decisions; oversee completion of engagements and solve problems with minimal oversight.
• Conduct thorough engagement reviews.
• Supervise and mentor Supervisors, Senior Accountants, and Staff in technical areas, identify development opportunities, and maintain a respectful team atmosphere.
• Complete annual performance evaluations for assigned staff and manage employee performance conversations.
• Assist Principals and Partners with identifying, meeting, and pursuing new clients.
• Translate technical knowledge into high‑value opportunities for firm clients.
• Promote the firm’s image through conference panels, publications, recruiting events, and client trainings.
• Build and strengthen client relationships through professionalism, responsiveness, and a service‑oriented approach.
• Enhance industry expertise by seeking and completing relevant training courses.
• Increase office profitability by managing time efficiently and contributing ideas.
