Residential Worker

GENERAL NATURE OF POSITION : The Residential Worker is responsible for carrying out the day-to-day function in the house. This includes securing the well-being and safety of the residents. Responsibilities also include keeping up with maintenance and repairs of the house, the vehicle, appliances, and equipment. The Residential Worker reports directly to Program Manager.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

• Track unusual and major incidents
• Participates in staff meetings and other meetings as appropriate
• Responsible for being on-call
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• Providing support and guidance to the individuals in the house to ensure the following :

That the house, the appliances, the vehicles and the equipment are safe, operational and in good working order.

3pm-11pm

Supervising and assisting the individuals in the house with menus, food preparation, housekeeping, personal care, laundry, and other activities of daily living.

During the hours of 11pm-7am, the House Manager will be offered adequate sleeping facilities by Real House, Inc.

(7am-9am) Responsibilities include providing assistance to the extent necessary for each of the individuals in the home to prepare for their day. That includes assisting with all personal hygiene tasks, dressing, preparing breakfast and cleaning up afterwards.

(9am-3pm) During this shift the House Manager is considered "on call", however remaining on the premises is typically not necessary. Being "on call" requires that you leave information with your supervisor as to where you may be reached.
