Manager In Training (Events Supervisor)

Insomnia Cookie's experiential concept store, CookieLab, is located in the Italian Market neighborhood of South Philly, part science lab, part speakeasy, part event space and a unique experience unlike any other. Presently we are seeking a guest-centric, outgoing Manager In Training (Events Supervisor) to join our flagship property and help continue our growth and success.

Comp & Sweet Position Perks :

  • Pay rate : $20-22 / hr + percentage of sales on all food and beverages sold at an event that you execute in CookieLab / The Space.
  • $25.00 per month cellphone data plan stipend.

Job Duties & Position Focus :

  • Head Supervisor for all events that are held at The Space and conduct weekly event space showings to potential clients looking to book it out.
  • Lead CookieLab and Wharton St store's success as the Manager-on-Duty during scheduled days when General Manager is not present.
  • Hire, train, develop, and retain great talent.
  • Drive B2B and community sales opportunities.
  • Support General Manager with ordering, inventory control and scheduling.
  • Maintain organization of all equipment, freezers, prep areas, and dry storage.

    • What We Seek :

  • 2+ years of restaurant and / or retail management experience.
  • 1+ year of experience as a restaurant or store trainer.
  • 1 year of prior experience with managing an event space.
  • Experience leading a team of 20+ employees.
  • Strong Customer Service skill set and experience.
  • Excellent organizational and time management.
  • Ability to work evening shifts and weekends.
  • Ability to hold team members accountable while fostering growth.
  • Experience in cultivating a people centric sales culture.
  • Proficiency in computer skills including e-mail, Word, Excel, etc.
