Assistant Site Manager

Seton Education Partners seeks a mission-driven and detail-oriented assistant site manager (ASM) to support the day-to-day operations of El Camino at our partner schools, Brilla Public Charter Schools, for the 2025-2026 academic year. Under the supervision of the El Camino Program Leader (ECPL), the ASM plays a key role in program logistics, team leadership, stakeholder communication, and ensuring a safe, structured, and joyful environment for all students.

About the Brilla Schools Network

Brilla Public Charter Schools is a network of K-8th grade schools that currently serves nearly 1,600 students from Mott Haven, University Heights and Highbridge in the Bronx. The network plans to grow from a current four elementary and two middle schools to four elementary and four middle schools educating some 4,000 students in the Bronx. Core to our mission is that our students become young men and women of good character and spirit and be prepared for excellence in high school, college, and beyond. Brilla combines a classical approach to educationan emphasis on virtue formation, Truth, Beauty, and Goodness, and direct instruction of a content-rich curriculum that has stood the test of timewith co-teaching practices and individualized online learning. We approach the formation of our students holistically and also set high academic expectations. Ours is a joyful community that honors the dignity of each student, family member and staff.

About El Camino Network

El Camino, which means "The Way" in Spanish, is an optional, privately-funded Catholic after-school faith formation program that is closely partnered with Brilla charter schools. El Camino helps children, their families and their catechists to know, love and serve Christ and His Church; develop the habits, dispositions and beliefs that are indispensable to human flourishing and happiness; and live as disciples in this world and saints in the next. El Camino honors the teaching authority of the Catholic Church. Since 2013, over 260 children have been baptized through our program.

El Camino currently serves approximately 40% of Brillas students for 90 minutes a day, Monday through Thursday. Children receive homework help from experienced teachers, a nutritious snack, and 30 minutes each of catechism and physical fitness. Additionally, children and families have opportunities for shared and personal prayer and character formation.

About the Job of Assistant Site Manager

Reporting to the El Camino Program Leader (ECPL), the Assistant Site Manager (ASM) is responsible for assisting with the management of the El Camino (EC) program at their designated Brilla campus. This role ensures the effective partnership between EC, STF, and Brilla by overseeing logistics, fostering professional collaboration, and supporting program alignment.

As a critical support for EC, the ASM coordinates with the ECPL regarding communications, event planning, clerical tasks, and networking efforts to ensure the mutual success of the programs.

Main Responsibilities

Presence & Availability

  • Be present Monday through Thursday from 2 : 00 PM 6 : 00 PM (or until the last student is picked up), Fridays as needed, and for all El Camino-sponsored events.
  • Attend regular check-ins and meetings as required by the ECPL.
  • Assist with special projects and other tasks as needed to ensure overall program excellence.

Program & Operational Support

  • Assist the ECPL in preparing and organizing all program logistics and materials.
  • Help onboard El Camino staff and Fellows at the beginning of the year.
  • Provide operational and logistical support to ensure smooth daily transitions and programming.
  • Oversee attendance, help manage supplies, and support clerical tasks to maintain consistency in daily operations.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Assistant to ensure all tasks are completed on time and with accuracy.
  • Team Support & Accountability

  • Support the ECPL in managing daily staff needs and program execution.
  • Help hold EC staff accountable to professional standards and program policies.
  • Contribute to EC external staff formation through observation, critical feedback, and mentoring in regard to classroom management and teaching best practices.
  • Assist in maintaining consistency across all program functions and enforce policies fairly and effectively.
  • Student Behavior & Safety

  • Enforce program expectations and discipline procedures for both staff and participants.
  • Provide on-the-ground behavioral support and implement disciplinary decisions as needed.
  • Assist the ECPL in managing day-to-day risk-related matters and upholding safety protocols.
  • Participate in and help coordinate emergency procedures and drills.
  • Stakeholder Communication & Engagement

  • Greet and engage families during dismissal and daily transitions.
  • Support communication efforts by helping send reminders, updates, and event details.
  • Maintain strong, professional relationships with all program stakeholders, including families, children, teachers, and school leaders.
  • Represent El Camino positively at all events and assist in event logistics and support.
