Media Specialist Instructional Assistant- 5.5 Hours Per Day

Assist Media Specialist with the following :

• checking in books
• checking out books
• shelving books
• assisting students with book choices
• working with students in grades 1-6 during Media Time
• assisting students with technology
• organizing the Book Fair
• Shows enthusiasm and interest in working with children
• Collaborates and communicates with teachers
• Communicates effectively with students and colleagues
• Plans prepares and organizes carefully
• Works well with students
• Encourages and supports student learining
• Uses good judgement
• Is dependable
• Is flexible and adaptable
• Is courteous at all times to all people
• Is tolerant
• Maintains consistent and orderly procedure with students
• Maintains effective professional relationships with colleagues students and parents
• Uses acceptable English
• Communicates effectively with written and oral language

Required : Proof of one of the following :

• 60 completed college credit hours official or unofficial transcripts are accepted
• Minimum score of 460 or greater on ParaPro PRAXIS score
