This is a highly impactful charting and investigative position , offering a superb work-life balance— you will not be responsible for treatment or ongoing patient care.

What You Will Do (Focus on Assessment)

Your expertise will be crucial in documenting accurate claims :

• Comprehensive Assessment : Perform Disability Questionnaires (DBQs) and Separation Health Assessment (SHAs) through thorough physical examinations and in-depth health histories.
• Medical Opinion : Diagnose and provide objective medical opinions based on physical exams to support VA disability claims.
• Records Review : Conduct a complete review of medical records via a cloud-based Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Efficient Documentation : Ensure charts are submitted through the online portal within a 24-hour window.

Exams are detailed and focused, ranging from 1.5–3 hours per Veteran, depending on the number of conditions claimed.
