Geriatric Nursing Assistant

Regency Care of Silver Spring is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Geriatric Nursing Assistant to join our team in Silver Spring, MD. In this role, you will provide essential care and support to our elderly residents, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being in a respectful and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
• Monitor and record vital signs, report any changes in residents' conditions to nursing staff.
• Help with mobility and transportation within the facility.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Follow all healthcare protocols and maintain resident confidentiality.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification preferred.
• Prior experience in geriatric care or a related healthcare setting is a plus.
• Compassionate, patient, and able to work effectively with elderly individuals.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to handle physical demands of the role, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
