UDB DBA2 Database Administrator at Cary, NC (Onsite role)

Role : DB2 UDB DBA

Location : Cary, NC (Onsite role)

Type : 6+ Months of Contract

Rate : $60-64 / hr

Description :

• Experience on administration, maintenance and support of DB2 UDB databases.
• Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of DB2 UDB database environments
• Assembling and coordinating project staff including on site resources and outsourced resources Support for Hardware Software Upgrade (HSR) involving AIX, Storage and UDB Upgrades at the same time.
• Good knowledge on Capacity planning & forecasting
• Ability to understand and remediate production issues on fly and conduct the Root cause analysis.
• Experience on data movement utilities Loads ,Imports and exports
• Exposure on DR test & strategies like Failover Clustering, Log Shipping, Replication, HACMP, BCV, SRDF and Mirroring .
• Knowledge on ITIL Methodologies like Change, Incident, Problem, Service Management using Service Now
• Should have ability to work closely with IBM-PMR to resolve any ongoing production issues.
• Good Experience and Exposure on Shell / Perl / Phyton Scripting .
• Good Knowledge on Reorgs / Runstats and tablespace maintenance
• Experience on DPF ( Database Partitioning Facility) and Table partition in
• Working knowledge on storage utilities like Networker and Cloud tools like Rubrik
• Knowledge on performance monitoring tools like DSM
• Good knowledge on HADR,Q-Replication and SQL replication
