The primary focus of the Nurse role is to deliver comprehensive patient care through evaluation, monitoring, planning, and administration. You will work closely with our Treatment Team to assess patient needs and contribute to individualized treatment plans. Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Initiate the admission process by acquiring provider orders upon patient arrival and completing the initial nursing assessment within 24 hours, including medical intake.Monitor vital signs, conduct detailed assessments, and document findings accurately in nursing notes.Document patient progress or setbacks in line with established protocols.Assist healthcare providers during weekly patient consultations.Educate and support patients in the safe self-administration of medications for post-discharge care.Ensure medications are accurately placed and maintain up-to-date medication administration records.Coordinate laboratory specimen collection, ensure results are timely, and communicate findings to the medical team for follow-up action.Additional Responsibilities :
Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of medications, including actions, side effects, and contraindications.Maintain and accurately record patient data in the electronic system.Help foster a therapeutic environment through consistent monitoring of patient behaviors and collaboration with the treatment team.Communicate relevant information to support individualized patient care.Collaborate with primary therapists for necessary insurance review information.Engage in discharge planning to facilitate safe transition from treatment.Participate in ongoing training and attend team meetings to support communication and team dynamics.Provide individual or group health education sessions to patients and document these effectively.Assist patients in scheduling their outpatient appointments as necessary.Guide patients through the informed consent process under the provider's direction.Deliver clinical nursing care professionally and competently according to established standards.Comply with nursing practice standards, organizational policies, and complete mandatory training courses.Exemplify professionalism and serve as a role model to patients and staff.Report any suspected patient rights violations using established protocols.In emergencies, stay on-site as part of the emergency response team.Perform additional tasks as assigned.Qualifications :
Graduate from an accredited nursing program.Preferred minimum of one year of nursing experience.Valid nursing licensure is required.Multistate nursing license preferred for virtual programs.Current CPR / First Aid certification.Excellent communication and guest relations skills.Service-oriented and proactive approach.Dependable attendance and punctuality.Strong focus on safety and organization.Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly within a team.
