A company is looking for a Principal Database Administrator.

Key Responsibilities

Provide database administration, architecture, design, management, and optimization for AWS and Azure environments

Ensure availability, reliability, recoverability, performance, and security of cloud-based database systems

Facilitate knowledge transfer and collaborate with IT colleagues to meet production SLAs

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical major such as engineering or computer science

Five or more years of experience with cloud databases in IaaS and PaaS models on AWS and Azure

Five or more years of experience administering AWS RDS and Azure SQL database systems

AWS certification in AWS Certified Database - Specialty or AWS Solutions Architect is preferred

Experience managing databases with a minimum size of 1TB and at least 200 concurrent users
