Reporting To : Manager, Site Engineering

Work Schedule : Onsite Phoenix, AZ

Moog Space and Defense provides world class avionics for satellites and other spacecraft. This includes digital, analog and power electronics. This position has responsibility to lead and manage senior technical leads / designers to ensure quality avionics that are delivered on time and at cost.

As a Manager, Project Engineering you will :

Drive product development and continuous improvement of existing products and processes.

Manage all aspects of the systems and lead engineering team process.

Lead corrective action and lessons learned implementation for systems engineering processes.

Develop standard works and work package descriptions for systems and lead engineering team.

Present concepts, data, and recommendations to management and customers and generate buy in for solutions.

Participate in management level strategic planning related to new projects and products.

Manage projects and activities in a multiple project environment to meet high demand schedules, cost targets, and technical requirements.

Lead systems engineering team to drive creative solutions to difficult programmatic and technical challenges. Communicate issues to site level management when resolutions cannot be implemented at a group level.

Provide leadership and supervision for the Lead / Systems Engineering team to assure efficiency and effectiveness of team members.

Assist in the interviewing, hiring, appraisal, mentoring and professional development of team's staff.

To be considered for the Manager, Project Engineering role, here is what you will need to bring with you :

Bachelor's degree in engineering field or equivalent experience.

10 years of relevant engineering experience in a high reliability electronics design role.

5 years of experience in spacecraft electronics or radiation hardened electronics

3 years of direct supervision / leadership experience.

5 years of experience in technical project management.

Proven experience interfacing with customers and suppliers.

Ability to travel to customers and supplier to resolve technical and programmatic issues.

Salary Range Transparency : Phoenix, AZ $165,000.00$200,000.00 Annually

Salary Range Disclaimer : The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
