This position is considered a temporary position for up to one hundred and twentydays.

The hourly rate will remain at $60.00.

Benefits or PTO / EIB do not apply to this position.

LAMC will assist with housing if necessary.

You are eligible for mileage for your initial trip and for a trip home and back twice a month.

Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.

Documents patient care given.

Monitors, records, and communicated patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.

Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.

Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual / psychosocial support needs.

Evaluates learning needs of patient and / or family and provides patient / family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Qualifications : Minimum Education

Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.

Required Skills

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Certifications :

All applicants must be current in BLS, ACLS and PALS upon hire.

New hires will have ninety (90) days to obtain American Heart Association certifications. Notwithstanding this 'grace period' for obtaining American Heart Association certifications, employees are not excused from being current in any and all existing certifications that are required for their position as outlined in the position job description.

Licenses :

Current NM RN licensure or appropriate RN Compact licensure.
