Location : Avera Medical Group Family Health Center-Marion Rd Worker Type : Regular Work Shift : Night Shift (United States of America) Pay Range : The pay range for this position is listed below. Actual pay rate dependent upon experience. $19.25 - $24.00

Position Highlights : Wednesdays 5 : 00pm-5 : 00am; 24 hours 2 weeks

A Brief Overview Responsible to provide security for patients, employees, and visitors; protects hospital buildings, assesses, and premises as assigned. Also provides traffic control and maintains parking lots and structures.

What You Will Do

• Patrol hospital buildings and premises to prevent fire, theft, vandalism, and intruders.
• Monitor conduct of visitors on hospital premises. Confront unauthorized persons for questioning as needed.
• Report safety and / or fire hazards or security violations.
• Respond to inquiries for advice or assistance from hospital personnel, students, and visitors. Provide restraints for psychiatric patients as needed. Escort personnel to parking lots and hospital buildings as requested.
• Participate in investigations; Maintain records and prepare incident reports and other documents pertinent to security activities.
• Secure and / or unlock offices and facilities as required. May secure patient valuables or lost and found articles. Maintains log of items received.
• Control parking and traffic flow. Enforce parking regulations.
• Respond to all emergency codes and security requests (i.e. Staff Assist, Security Alert, Fire alarms). Respond to CARE Flight operations as needed.
• Mentors security interns in the role of security. Serves as a liaison to local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
