Premier Dental of Connecticut is looking for a Dental Assistant in Fairfield, Connecticut to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment.

Position Overview:
As a Dental Assistant you are an integral part of care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. Type:
Full-time: Monday 8am-5pm, Tuesday 8am-6pm, Wednesday 8am-2pm, Thursday 8am-6pm, Friday 8am-2pm and every other Saturday 8am-1pm.

Compensation for this role is $22-$24 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations..
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
• Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of hands on experience
• X-Ray certification is required
• High school diploma or equivalent

Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
