A company is looking for a Patient Account Representative responsible for managing collections, account follow-up, and billing processes.
Key Responsibilities
Follow up with payers to resolve outstanding claims and ensure timely billing
Monitor and update patient and financial information for accuracy
Analyze and resolve issues causing payment delays, including initiating appeals as necessary
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required
2-3 years of experience in insurance collections and hospital / facility billing
Basic knowledge of healthcare claims processing, including relevant coding systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
Medical Billing and Coding certification preferred but not required
