Job Description

Join a dynamic team to assemble electrical and mechanical parts into finished products utilizing various tools and assembly process equipment. You will cross-train in areas such as mechanical, electronic, testing, microscope work, soldering, and finishing. Your role will involve frequent use of screwdrivers, torque wrenches, and potentially a variety of adhesives and chemicals. You will also use computer workstations for record-keeping and testing purposes, perform electronic testing on final assemblies, and engage in quality control inspection functions.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electrical and mechanical components into finished products.
• Cross-train in mechanical, electronic, testing, microscope, soldering, and finishing areas.
• Frequently use screwdrivers and torque wrenches.
• Hand soldering as required by department needs.
• Utilize a variety of adhesives and chemicals in the assembly process.
• Operate computer workstations for record-keeping and testing.
• Conduct electronic testing on final assemblies using various test equipment.
• Perform quality control inspections.
• Lift up to 40 pounds consistently.

Work Environment

Work the first shift from 6am to 2 : 30pm, Monday through Friday. You will be provided with a smock and safety glasses, though safety toe shoes are not provided. Be prepared to work in a large production area with various lines supporting gas and flame detection sensors. Cross-training is offered to place employees in departments that best suit their skills and preferences. Please be aware that epoxy smells can be strong in certain areas.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bloomington, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00 / hr.
