Key Responsibilities

  • Full-cycle design of custom optical sensor products to customer specifications, leveraging advanced thin film technologies
  • Work on a cross-functional hands-on engineering team integrated with on-site manufacturing
  • Collaborate within a cleanroom-like, high-tech lab / manufacturing setting
  • Utilize industry-standard thin film design and modeling software

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in thin film design (not just coatings or battery film / process backgrounds); 10+ yrs a plus
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in any engineering discipline
  • Hands-on experience with thin film design software : Filmstar, Optilayer, TF Calc, McLeod (older, but valued)
  • Preferred industry backgrounds : defense, aerospace, medical devices
  • Experience with PVD and complex, multilayer substrates (must-have); CVD is a plus
