Job Summary:

As a Server at Denny's, you will be responsible for greeting and seating customers, recording orders, and providing excellent customer service. You will also be involved in delivering food, removing dishes and trays, and assisting with stocking, cleaning, and food preparations.

Job Functions/Responsibilities:

• Greet and seat customers, record orders, and apply suggestive selling techniques
• Ensure prompt placement of orders and follow up to ensure guest satisfaction
• Remove unneeded dishes and utensils
• Inform management of any safety hazards, guest complaints, or other problems
• Complete side-work in a safe and timely manner
• Offer suggestive selling to maintain proper guest check average
• Deliver food and remove dishes in a timely manner
• Be courteous and friendly with all guests, present a professional image at all times
• Embody and promote company values

Physical Requirements:

• Extensive standing during peak hours
• Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, and cold
• Reaching heights of approximately 5 feet and depths of 2 to 3 feet
• High level of mobility/flexibility
• Bending, reaching, walking
• Communicating with customers
• Operating cash register
• Carrying trays of food products

Qualifications Standards:

• Good communication skills
• Guest-oriented personality
• Ability to function under stress during peak hours of operation
• Excellent physical condition due to job requirements
• Flexibility and ability to manage change
• Compliance with health regulations
