The Court Statistics Manager manages the operations of the Statistics, Research, and Evaluation (SRE) sub-unit of Court Services.
The position is responsible for staff supervision; planning; training; developing forecasts of case filings and performing analysis of judicial workload for certification of new judgeships; providing statistical, analytical, and data support for court committees; performing analysis for legislative bills, court programs, and other court-related issues; assisting in the development plans for funding methodologies; implementing and managing projects; supporting data validation efforts; preparing routine statistical reports to support the branch; reporting major activities to executive level administrators; and performing related administrative functions.

Additional relevant experience may substitute for the recommended educational level on a year-for-year basis.
Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, public administration, business administration, court/judicial administration, court/judicial management, business management, legal studies, or a closely related field.
Bachelor’s degree in mathematics preferred.
Master’s degree is preferred.
Experience: Refers tothe amount of related work experience that is recommended for entry into the position that would result in reasonable expectation that the person can perform the required tasks.
Additional relevant education may substitute for the recommended experience on a year-for-year basis, excluding supervisory experience.
Six years of related work experience, including two years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.

Knowledge of and ability to apply statistical procedures, principles, and programs.
Ability to present the results of complex statistical analysis in a manner that can be easily understood.
Ability to assess the quality of statistical data and databases.
Ability to communicate effectively with persons requesting data to determine their information needs.
Ability to plan and organize assignments and projects.
Skills for evaluating the statistical requirements for projects and information requests and making appropriate recommendations to satisfy those requirements and requests.
Knowledge of, and ability to use, desktop applications including Word, Excel, and SAS (and/or other comparable software applications).
Ability to communicate effectively with judges, trial court administrators, clerks of court, and other stakeholders.
Knowledge and ability to process data.
Proficiency in the use of SQL, Tableau, SAS, and Microsoft Office products.
