Overview

Job Summary :

Performs therapy as prescribed and in accordance with departmental policy and procedure.

Job Responsibilities :

• Demonstrates a knowledge of all routine therapy equipment, oximeters, regulators, flowmeters, analyzers, ETCO2 monitors, medical gases, inhaled pharmacological agents, etc.
• Has a working knowledge of Hospital / Respiratory care policy and procedure manuals. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care of service appropriate to the age of the patients served on assigned unit.
• Demonstrates and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to age-specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the unit's / area's / department's policies and procedures .
• Performs Other Responsibilities as Assigned.
