Accounting Specialist

Under the leadership of the Director of Finance and Controller, the Accounting Specialist will assist with general accounting duties, financial reporting, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.

Reports to : Director of Finance

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Assist with general ledger maintenance, including preparing and posting journal entries
• Support month-end close processes, including account reconciliations and financial reporting
• Review and reconcile bank statements and other balance sheet accounts
• Assist in preparing audit schedules and supporting documentation for external auditors
• Maintain and organize financial files and documentation in compliance with school policies and accounting standards
• Support budget tracking and variance analysis as needed
• Assist with special projects or other financial tasks assigned by the Director of Finance or Controller
