• MultiCare is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join their Adolescent Behavioral Unit at the Tacoma General Hospital for weekend in patient coverage, in person or telemedicine. Work with a collegial team of physicians, advanced practice providers, licensed clinical social workers, and therapists.
  **There may be opportunity to do telemedicine**
  
  Additional Requirements:

  1-3 years of experience working with the adolescent population preferred Well versed in EPIC EMR Inpatient psychiatric prescribing experience

  Expectations for weekend coverage on the unit:
  • Will be covering a maximum of 12 patients which will include 1-2 discharges, 1-2 new admits and the rest will be regular progress check ins
  • All admissions can be voluntary, or Family initiated or Detained children
  • The legal status is taken care of when patient is initially admitted by intake coordinators and paperwork is reviewed by intake nurse
  • Discharges are also mostly prepared by weekday clinician and weekend clinician will only do the Mental status check in and Suicide risk assessment
  • New Admits will also have a Pediatrician to complete the physical examination on the day of admit so if there is any question for any ongoing medical problems they are available to consult

Requirements

• Licensed in the state of Washington by employment
• DEA, NPI & Prescriptive authority
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association
• Minimum of 1-3 years clinical experience with direct patient care
• Board certification in area of licensure
• Well versed in EPIC EMR

Pay and Benefit Expectations
