Key Responsibilities:
System Design & Engineering
Design AV systems include video conferencing, audio, video, control, and networking components.
Select appropriate AV hardware and software solutions based on client requirements and site conditions.
Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, and consultants to develop system functionality, flow, and performance requirements.
Technical Documentation & Drawings
Create and manage AV system drawings including signal flow diagrams, rack elevations, cable schedules, and system schematics using AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent tools.
Prepare documentation packages for submittals, installations, and as-built records.
Maintain version control and documentation standards across all projects.
Programming & Configuration
Program and configure AV control systems (e.g., Crestron, Extron, QSC, AMX) based on project specifications.
Develop GUI interfaces and custom scripts for system control and automation.
Perform system testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of programmed systems.
Support remote diagnostics and firmware updates as needed.
Field Support
Provide on-site support during the installation process to address any technical issues or adjustments needed.
Provide both onsite and remote support for our Service group
Troubleshoot and resolve problems with system components, wiring, and connections.
Conduct training sessions for clients and end-users on the operation and maintenance of installed systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in AV system design, integration, and programming.
Proficiency in AV system design tools (AutoCAD, Revit, D-Tools, or similar).
Hands-on experience with control system programming platforms (e.g., Crestron Toolbox, Extron Global Configurator/Pro, Q-SYS Designer).
Understanding of AV standards (AVIXA, InfoComm, AES67, Dante, HDBaseT).
Ability to interpret architectural and construction drawings.
Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Industry certifications (e.g., CTS, CTS-D, Crestron Certified Programmer, Extron Control Professional, Q-SYS Level 2 or higher).
Experience with DSP configuration (e.g., Biamp, BSS, QSC).
Familiarity with networking fundamentals and AV-over-IP technologies.
Performance Measurements:

Budget Adherence: Ability to manage project costs within budgeted limits, with minimal variances.
Client Satisfaction: Client feedback and satisfaction scores after project completion, indicating successful project execution and meeting expectations.
Quality of AV Solutions: The effectiveness and reliability of AV systems installed, with minimal service or maintenance calls post-installation.
Vendor Management: Success in negotiating favorable pricing, terms, and maintaining strong relationships with AV vendors and suppliers.
Team Collaboration: Effectiveness in leading internal teams and facilitating cross-departmental collaboration to achieve project goals.
Process Efficiency: Implementation and optimization of processes that streamline operations, reducing time and resource consumption while maintaining quality.
Problem Resolution: Ability to identify and resolve project or technical issues promptly, minimizing project delays or disruptions.
Safety and Compliance: Ensuring all AV installations meet safety regulations, industry standards, and internal compliance guidelines.
