Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

1 : 1 School-Based RN Needed!

Location : Near Ames, IA

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide 1 : 1 medical support for a student with complex health needs during the school day.

1 : 1 Support (General Overview)

Requires continuous nursing support for multiple medical needs

Needs airway management and assistance with respiratory equipment

Receives nutrition and medication through medical devices

Requires support with mobility and positioning throughout the day

Needs close monitoring due to a chronic medical condition and ongoing therapies

Some procedures and medication administration must be completed by an RN

Additional care parameters pending provider orders

Schedule

TuesdayFriday : 8 : 10 AM 1 : 00 PM

Monday : 9 : 40 AM 1 : 30 PM

Start Date : ASAP

End Date : Early June (end of school year)

Position Responsibilities

Provide safe, continuous 1 : 1 nursing support during the school day

Monitor the students health status and respond to needs promptly

Assist with respiratory support, mobility, nutrition, and medication administration

Follow provider orders and maintain accurate documentation

Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and medical providers

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

Experience with medically fragile students or pediatric care preferred

Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills

Reliable, compassionate, and comfortable working independently
