The facility performs an average of 45 cases per day. Patient types and common diagnoses include Cardiothoracic cases such as CABG, AVR, and MVR. Vascular responsibilities include fistula creations, transcarotid revascularization, and bypasses. Thoracic cases include VATS, robotic resections, and lobectomies. The RN must have strong and recent experience with CABG, TAVR, Vascular, and Thoracic cases. The RN will work alongside an OR assistant who supports department needs during weekdays. Support staff includes a charge nurse and anesthesia / CRNA available 24 / 7. Technology in use includes EMR systems, IV pumps, and monitors. The schedule typically includes a weekend rotation, with call responsibilities. The traveler will be part of a holiday call rotation. Shifts primarily run from 7 am to 7 pm, with some variations. If assigned to the first case, the RN needs to be on unit promptly. The operation is 24 / 7, ensuring continuous patient care. All required scrubs will be provided.
