Job Description
An enterprise cloud architect is a senior role responsible for defining and guiding an organizations overall cloud computing strategy and architecture They are typically not handson engineers but rather senior leaders who make strategic decisions direct the cloud architecture function often a Cloud Center of Excellence or CCOE and ensure the organizations cloud initiatives align with its business goals This role requires a deep understanding of technical areas like networking data security and compute along with strong leadership and strategic planning skills
Key responsibilitiesCloud strategy Define and oversee the organizations cloud vision ensuring it aligns with business objectives
Architecture governance Lead the Cloud Center of Excellence CCOE or a similar function to set standards and provide governance for cloud adoption across the organization
Strategic decisionmaking Make highlevel architectural decisions about cloud adoption migration and optimization
Crossfunctional collaboration Work closely with IT and business units to drive a cohesive and effective cloud strategy
Leadership Serve as a senior leader for cloud initiatives often guiding a team of cloud engineers and architects
Required skills and knowledge
Technical expertise Deep knowledge of networking VPNs BGP SDWAN storage block file object compute VMs containers serverless and data SQL NoSQL data lakes
Security Understanding of security concepts such as firewalls zerotrust architecture identity federation and data security
Business acumen Ability to translate business needs into technical strategies and ensure cloud solutions support business goals
Leadership and communication Strong skills to lead teams collaborate with different departments and communicate complex ideas clearly
Experience Not an entrylevel role requires significant experience and a broad range of skills
Works in the area of Software Engineering, which encompasses the development, maintenance and optimization of software solutions / applications. 1. Applies scientific methods to analyse and solve software engineering problems. 2. He / she is responsible for the development and application of software engineering practice and knowledge, in research, design, development and maintenance. 3. His / her work requires the exercise of original thought and judgement and the ability to supervise the technical and administrative work of other software engineers. 4. The software engineer builds skills and expertise of his / her software engineering discipline to reach standard software engineer skills expectations for the applicable role, as defined in Professional Communities. 5. The software engineer collaborates and acts as team player with other software engineers and stakeholders.
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is : 140K-160K / Year
