Job Summary

Supermicro is seeking a Service Engineer responsible for fieldwork at customer sites to resolve and repair server systems. The Service Engineer plays a critical role in post-sales support, demonstrating technical aptitude and excellent interpersonal skills. The role supports our Global Service network and helps build a world-class field service organization.

You will work remotely from Memphis, TN, providing technical support for the Memphis area, with regular customer site visits as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• On-site and remote troubleshooting of Supermicro equipment in an enterprise environment
• Drive customer satisfaction through service excellence
• Manage escalation situations professionally
• Provide 2nd line support to resellers / distributors
• Maintain high level of enterprise solution product knowledge
• Collaborate with Technical Account Manager, Service Manager, and Product Manager
• Contribute to fault triage and training materials
• Run tests and simulations to assist in problem-solving
• Travel to customer sites for training and issue resolution
• Train new service engineers
• Work under the direction of the Technical Account Manager
• Be self-sufficient in the field
• Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks
• Identify and diagnose technical issues with customers
• Research and implement solutions, escalate unresolved problems
• Generate reports and metrics (a plus)
• Work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if needed
• Travel up to 25%

Qualifications

Salary Range

$70,000 - $100,000, depending on experience and location. Includes benefits, bonus, and equity options.
