Job Summary
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a motivated Process Engineer to support our client’s operations and maintenance team. This role provides technical expertise for all process-related functions, with a focus on optimizing ultra-pure water (UPW) systems. The Process Engineer will collaborate with O&M engineers, field technicians, and innovation teams to maintain excellent water quality, system performance, and operational reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Process Optimization
Analyze UPW process performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, reliability, and compliance with quality standards.
Troubleshooting & Technical Support
Lead advanced troubleshooting efforts, including root-cause analysis and corrective action planning for process-related issues.
Documentation & Compliance
Develop, update, and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and system standards.
Process Design & Engineering
Create and maintain process specifications, P&IDs, mass balances, functional logic, and sequence-of-operations documentation for water treatment systems.
Project & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Support automation, commissioning, engineering, and innovation teams on system upgrades, modifications, and technology rollouts.
Provide technical input to sales and procurement teams as needed.
Training & Knowledge Sharing
Deliver process-related training and best practices to O&M engineers and technicians.
Safety
Perform all tasks in full compliance with established safety procedures and organizational protocols.
Other Duties
Complete additional responsibilities as assigned to support business needs.
Qualifications
Proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Up to 3 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Travel Requirements
Ability to travel on a case-by-case basis for project support, troubleshooting, or onsite training.
