Recreation Aide Job Overview :

The Recreation Therapist will implement a variety of group activities and programs based on Resident’s individual abilities and preference to encourage and promote Resident participation. Successful Candidate must be compassionate, creative, energetic, and enthusiastic with the desire to enhance the quality of life of residents. Candidate must also have good interpersonal skills, and assists alongside recreation therapist in the Department. Job entails transporting residents to and from programs, running some programs, 1 : 1 visits and attending trips, assisting with transport to and from off unit programs and other activities related to recreation therapy.

Recreation Aide Qualifications :

• Energetic, extremely enthusiastic, creative, takes initiative, works well with a team, enjoys working with elderly people.
• Preferably 1+ years experience working in a geriatric / adult population.
• Must be a team player with a compassionate, outgoing, and pleasant personality.
• Must be computer literate and possess strong organizational skills.
