Summer School Principal - Application Deadline 12 / 16 / 2025

Stipend : not less than $5,835

Dates : Planning Meetings : December 2025 - June 2026

Tentative Summer School Dates : Thursday, June 11th - Friday, July 10th

No student attendance on June 19th and July 3rd

Qualifications : a) Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) General Administrative Endorsement (preferred not required).

Job Duties related to the coordination of Summer School programs and services include the following :

• Meet monthly / bi-monthly with Director of Curriculum and Instruction, Director of Student Services, and Extended School Year Coordinator for planning and coordination of program
• Communications to the community regarding programing and registration process
• Scheduling of classes, classroom spaces, and teacher assignment
• Recruitment and hiring of summer school staff members (certified teachers, teacher aides, and related support staff)
• Collaborate with Technology Department to support instructional needs
• Direct and supervise all curricular activities, staff performance, and other duties required to meet the District's stated goals, objectives and procedures for the Summer School Program.
• Provide follow-up Summer School Report to the Board of Education
