OSI Optoelectronics is currently seeking an Assembler. This individual will read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble parts and / or products. They will also follow methods and sequence of operations in performing component installation, hand soldering, and cap welding on assembly units. Additionally, they will use thinking and reasoning to solve problems and / or recommend updates on department procedures and manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

• Prepare / clean material and product for in-process and / or final assembly.
• Complex die attach using automatic / semi-automatic equipment per customer requirements on traveler and drawings.
• Complex encapsulation using epoxy per customer requirements on traveler and drawings.
• Operate assembly equipment, to complete complex assemblies, using : pick-and-place, laser marker, ink pad printer, wire bonding, soldering iron, etc.

• It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem.
