A company is looking for a Medical Customer Service Rep.
Key Responsibilities
Answer incoming calls and emails from patients regarding billing inquiries and resolve complaints
Process patient billing inquiries and explain charges, insurance coverage, and payment options
Update and maintain accurate patient records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Prior experience as a customer service specialist, preferably in a medical setting
Knowledge of medical benefits, revenue collection, and insurance payment processes
Familiarity with third-party operating procedures and government reimbursement programs
Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office
