Real Estate Private Equity Asset Management AVP / VP

Selby Jennings has been retained by a notable real estate private equity firm in Austin to find their next asset manager. The firm is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Vice President or Vice President to join its Asset Management team, with a focus on Multifamily and Student Housing investments. This individual will play a critical role in driving performance across a national portfolio, optimizing operations, and executing strategic initiatives to maximize asset value.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead asset management efforts for a portfolio of multifamily and student housing properties across various U.S. markets.
• Develop and execute business plans, including value-add strategies, capital improvements, and operational enhancements.
• Monitor property performance through financial analysis, market research, and benchmarking.
• Collaborate with property managers, leasing teams, and third-party vendors to ensure operational excellence.
• Prepare and present detailed asset-level reporting to senior leadership and investors.
• Support acquisition underwriting and due diligence for new investments.
• Identify opportunities for revenue growth and expense reduction.
• Maintain strong knowledge of market trends, competitive positioning, and regulatory changes impacting the portfolio.
