This position reports to Assistant Manager or General Manager

Most bartenders will also work as a server so they must also be familiar with the server job descriptions.

Mix and serve drinks and food to patrons directly or through wait staff.

Tasks

Complete training program and pass tests

Come to work on time and prepared for your shift in proper uniform

Greet Guest and Follow Steps of Service (as outlined in training manual)

Present Check and Collect payment

Check identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic

beverages.

Attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading them to stop drinking or ordering taxis or other transportation

Stock the bar with beer, wine, liquor as per par levels. Refill ice, fruit, glassware, napkins and straws

Clean and organize bar and work areas

Cash out with manager providing all necessary documents (credit card slips, house charges)

Requires :

Using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls

Standing or walking for long periods of time (4-6 hours)

Lifting / carrying up to 30 pounds

Repetitive movement
