General Job Responsibilities :
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic neurosurgical procedures to the brain, spine and peripheral nerve surgeries, among others.Evaluate patients through physical examinations, imaging studies and diagnostic tests to determine the need for surgical intervention.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.Provide preoperative and postoperative care.Monitor and interpret patient conditions during and after surgery, adjusting treatment plans as needed.Maintain accurate and thorough medical records.Skills :
Extensive knowledge of neurosurgical principles, techniques and technologies.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent manual dexterity and precision.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to remain calm and make critical decisions under pressure.Flexibility to adapt to new work environments and different medical teams.Minimum Education Requirements :
Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.Residency training program in neurosurgery accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).License & Certifications :
Board certification in neurosurgery by the American Board of Neurological Surgery (ABNS) or an equivalent certifying body.Active and unrestricted medical license in California.Experience :
