Jr. Software Developer

This role supports a program providing application design, development, enhancement and implementation support to mission critical law enforcement applications. These applications are designed to manage large data sets and indexes and support information sharing, data analysis, and electronic exchange to support investigations and collaboration to identify previously unknown connections and streamline the processes for searching and utilizing available data sets. The primary functions for this position include : Design, develop, enhance, debug, and implement software using MS Visual Studio for C#.NET Troubleshoot problems related to software applications; resolve systems integration and compatibility issues Support software testing as required, including developing automated test scripts using NUnit, SpecFlow, and other automation tools Interact with required stakeholders including CODIS PMO, business analysts, and testers Support continuous innovation by implementing the best practices to improve technology tools and processes to increase team efficiency and technical execution Contribute to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable Required Skills : Must Hold Active Secret clearance Able to work across services, able to identify potential challenges, design and communicate solutions 4+ years software development experience, preferably with C# .NET, Entity Framework, LINQ Developing unit tests with NUnit, xUnit, or other frameworks Relational database design and development experience, preferably using SQL Server Experience developing or consuming services and RESTful APIs Experience working with an Agile team using SCRUM development approaches Knowledge of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Desire to work in a collaborative and team-focused environment Strong attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and solid troubleshooting ability Desired Skills : Knowledge of WinForms, WPF, WCF, Entity Framework, VB.NET, C++, XML, SQL Database platform, MSBuild PowerShell, InstallShield Knowledge of component-based frameworks such as Blazor, Angular, or React Experience working with AWS or Azure services and cloud technologies Knowledge of DevOps techniques and approaches to software development Knowledge of Docker and containers Knowledge of Kubernetes or other container orchestration technology Knowledge of Behavior Driven Development (BDD) or Test-Driven Development (TDD) If you are interested in getting more information about this opportunity, please contact Irina Rozenberg at your earliest convenience.
