DevOps / Cloud Engineer

Job Summary :

Our client is seeking a Senior DevOps / Cloud Engineer to join their team! This position is located in Denver, Colorado.

Duties :

• Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure as code solutions, with a strong preference for Terraform
• Administer and manage AWS or other enterprise cloud provider infrastructure accounts
• Build, monitor, and troubleshoot complex issues within the EMR framework
• Work extensively with big data technologies such as Hive and Spark
• Implement strategies to optimize spot fleet utilization and reduce cloud costs
• Apply and enforce least privilege control models across cloud resources
• Design and implement Lambda functions and Kinesis Firehose data streams
• Utilize ticketing systems like JIRA for issue tracking and management
• Leverage GitLab for CI / CD pipeline development and merge request processes
