State Licensed Underwriter III

A company is looking for an Underwriter III, Specialty Loans.

Key Responsibilities

Review and evaluate loan documents for accuracy and compliance with standards

Analyze loan applications to identify potential fraud or misrepresentation

Collaborate with Loan Processors and Officers to finalize incomplete loan packages

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; college courses in Business, Finance, or related field preferred

Eight or more years of underwriting experience, with three years in specialty loans

Direct Endorsement (DE) certification required; must meet state-specific loan origination requirements

Expert-level knowledge of mortgage lending processes and underwriting requirements

Prior experience with jumbo or Non-QM loans is required
