CDL Truck Driver - Cleburne, TX

Position Description

Basic Purpose and Scope

This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a commercial vehicle and requires compliance with safety & DOT regulations, continuous training and customer service.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay starts at $20 to $26 per hour, and will include the opportunity for overtime. Benefit plans include 401(k), full medical, dental, prescription, life insurance. This position allows you to be home every night and weekends.

Responsibilities :

• Responsible for ensuring and maintaining a safe environment through compliance of all Company, State, Local, and Federal mandates or programs.
• Perform Pre / Post trips on truck
• Obey traffic laws & hours of service per DOT
• May require load / unload pallets, drums, bulk paper
• Complete shipping paperwork
• Wear appropriate PPE
• Operate forklift
• Work and think SAFETY FIRST
• Work flexible hours
• Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements :

Valid Class A CDL with  Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements

Good driving record

Be able to pass drug screening, physical and human performance test (DOT Physical)

High School Diploma

Good English written and verbal communication skills

Ability to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions

Must be capable of exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and / or 50 pounds frequently and / or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects

Mental and visual ability to identify various parts and read instructions and gauges

Physical activities required are climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, twisting, bending, speaking, and hearing.

Possess and maintain a valid Class A Commercial driver license

Tank Vehicle endorsement (Tankers) required

Must be 21 years of age or older

Safe driving record and history

Forklift experience preferred

Pass DOT drug test and have no prior positive tests or refusals
