Description:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer Intern to support our team in a fast-paced signage manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone pursuing an engineering-related degree who is eager to gain real-world experience in custom fabrication, material planning, and project coordination.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Project Managers with the preparation, review, and organization of drawings, specifications, and submittals
- Support the development of signage layouts, material take-offs, and production documents
- Help track project schedules, deadlines, and priority changes
- Coordinate with CAD, Production, and Purchasing teams on material requirements, revisions, and job updates
- Attend project meetings and assist with preparing action items, notes, and follow-ups
- Assist with quality checks, including verifying sign dimensions, material accuracy, and compliance with customer requirements
- Learn and support the process for work orders, change orders, and job files
- Provide general technical and administrative support to the engineering department, including producing detailed take offs
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Civil, Manufacturing, or related field)
- Interest in signage, construction, manufacturing, or fabrication
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical specifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic production environment
Preferred Skills (Not Required)- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes or construction drawings
- Previous experience in fabrication, manufacturing, or engineering support roles
