Direct Counsel is partnering with a premier technology and life sciences law firm seeking Associates for its rapidly expanding Life Sciences Technology Transactions practice. This group advises some of the most influential biotech, pharmaceutical, digital health, and emerging technology companies worldwide—helping them bring groundbreaking therapies and platforms from discovery to regulatory approval.

About the Role

The firm is seeking candidates with 2–4 years of experience handling :

Licensing agreements

Strategic collaborations & joint development arrangements

Commercial partnering transactions

Representation of biotechs and large pharmaceutical companies in transactions related to :

Novel therapeutics

Vaccines

Diagnostics

Digital health technologies

Clinical development and FDA regulatory pathways

Experience working with AI-native or AI-driven life sciences companies —particularly those applying machine learning to drug discovery, diagnostics, or R&D—is a strong plus.

This is an exceptional role for attorneys who want to :

Work directly with visionary founders and scientific leaders

Negotiate sophisticated standalone commercial deals that shape the future of medicine

Gain exposure to both life sciences and broader tech transactions work

Grow within one of the nation’s most respected technology transactions platforms

Superior academic credentials and excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills are required.

Bar Requirements

Candidates must be admitted to the bar in the state of the office applied to—or eligible to sit for or waive into the next bar exam.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary Range : $235,000 – $310,000

Discretionary performance-based bonus
