The Deal Sourcing team at PitchBook is building the next generation of signals, relationship intelligence, and data-driven workflows that give private equity, venture capital, and investment banking professionals an edge. You will help shape platform experiences that surface actionable sourcing opportunities, map key relationships, and connect the dots across people, companies, and markets. As the private markets continue to evolve, this role plays a critical part in delivering the insights and tools dealmakers rely on to identify, evaluate, and pursue high-quality opportunities.

PitchBook's Product Manager II works collaboratively with key stakeholders and project teams to execute on the department's product roadmap. This role plays an active role in defining and prioritizing our roadmap. As a Product Manager II, you will act as the SME for deal sourcing workflows and be accountable for shaping and optimizing the customer experience across every stage of the sourcing lifecycle.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Validate client needs, pain points, and business opportunities through ongoing user and market research
  • Be a SME for your product area(s) and resource for team members across PitchBook
  • Actively define product roadmap prioritization and create business cases for new opportunities
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders and project teams to execute your product roadmap
  • Create detailed functional specifications from prioritized requirements
  • Communicate requirements and technical details to stakeholders, including engineering teams
  • Continuously improve our external and internal deliverables and operational processes
  • Establish project goals, measure your business impact, and identify additional opportunities for success
  • Give compelling presentations to stakeholders on projects and vision
  • Be a resource for junior team members on the Product Management process
  • Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
  • Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Finance, or related field
  • 3+ years of product management experience
  • Bias for action and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and do what is necessary to meet team goals
  • Experience gathering customer-centric requirements and writing functional specification documents
  • Superior attention to detail including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong audience awareness
  • Strong understanding of investment / portfolio management preferred
  • Proven record of shipping high impact digital solutions preferred
  • Experience with partnerships and managing vendor relationship preferred
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

  • Compensation

  • Annual base salary : $145,000-$160,000
  • Target annual bonus percentage : 10%

    The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
