We have an exciting opportunity for Welding positions in Newport News, Virginia! Job Duties entail but are not limited to :
Welding 5 / 16” thick dry dock cell wall plate after fit with single bevel groove welds flush
Welding either FCAW (Flux-core) or SMAW (Stick)
Grinding and cleaning any imperfections
All welds will be visually inspected
Must have experience using 60ft Ariel Boom Lift Lift, carry, push and pull at least 80lbs
Help stock materials in and around the worksite Help take trash off of the worksite
Qualifications :
At least two years of SMAW and FCAW
Ability to pass a plate test provided by Client in Suffolk, VA
Must have at least one year of shipyard experience
Must have at least two years of welding experience
Schedule :
Monday-Friday 6am-2 : 30pm
Overtime could be required on Saturday and Sunday Pay :
Up to $30 / hour
