Job Description

Position Purpose :

Procure goods, materials and services to ensure the company's operational needs are met, taking into account price, quality, and delivery and to ensure continuity of supply.

Essential Functions :

• Ensure continuous supply of required goods and materials and communicate any supply problems; eliminate / mitigate risks which may impact production and business operations.
• Solicit formal and informal bids, prepare bid specifications and coordinate bid process, considering TCO and leveraging volume / spend across all divisions.
• Minimize company exposure of excess and obsolete material; review & drive appropriate action to reduce inventory reserve amounts.
• Develop, audit and maintain vendor performance records and make recommendations for corrective action where required.
• Manage the Non-Conforming Material and Warranty process to ensure claims are resolved within allotted time-frame.
• Review and respond to annual NAFTA solicitations and / or COO requests with accurate part description, value, material, etc. to avoid penalties and delayed shipments.
• Responsible for compiling data and submitting monthly Purchasing scorecard performance.
• Maintain ERP supplier master database with accurate information.
