Role : Field Service Technician I

Location : Stone Mountain, GA 30087

Duration : 6 Months

Schedule :

Monday Thursday : 7 : 00 AM 5 : 30 PM EST

Friday : Reserved as a make-up day (weather or absence)

Travel : May require travel within MS, NC, SC, and FL (up to 400 miles). Candidates must be local.

Top Skills Required :

Critical thinking and problem solving

Ability to work independently

Experience with water valves / hydrants (preferred)

Job Overview :

The Field Service Technician will perform maintenance, operation, and testing of valves and fire hydrants. The role includes following written procedures, supporting equipment setup / cleanup, and ensuring a safe and clean work environment. Outdoor work is required.

Responsibilities :

Operate and maintain valves and hydrants following procedures

Assist with assembling / disassembling tools and equipment

Participate in safety meetings and complete Job Safety Assessments

Maintain clean work and loading areas, remove debris

Secure truck loads per DOT and FMCSA rules

Follow PPE and safety guidelines

Support Crew Chief duties and other assignments as needed

Qualifications :

High School Diploma or GED

Valid driver's license with good driving record

Water industry experience preferred

Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies

Ability to read, write clearly, and communicate professionally

Basic computer skills
