Scope of Responsibility :
Seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design development and implementation of electrical systems for modular infrastructure in Data Center, Utility, Fiber, and Telecommunications sectors. Design responsibilities include Power Distribution, UPS Systems Integration, Communication, Control and Fire & Safety Systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate deep technical expertise, strong leadership, and full lifecycle project management experience from concept to commissioning.
Essential Duties :
- Collaborate with engineering team, sales team, and customers to develop unique design solutions.
- Provide technical review of project specifications to support sales and quoting team.
- Lead electrical design for projects with cross-functional team to meet customer expectations.
- Conduct load calculations and design of power distribution, grounding, lighting, and control systems.
- Perform system-level electrical analysis including power flow, voltage drop, and fault analysis.
- Prepare and review schematics, wiring diagrams, layout drawings, and technical specifications.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards (NEC, NFPA 72, IEEE, UL, etc.).
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
- Support procurement, production, quality, commissioning and field service.
- Interface with clients, vendors, and regulatory agencies as needed.
- Conduct failure analysis and support root cause investigations.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in electrical design and integration processes.
Position Requirements :
Education : Bachelor or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Experience :
8+ years of professional experience in electrical design and engineering.Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain within a reasonable time frame.Skills & Abilities :
Proficiency with electrical design tools such as AutoCAD Electrical and ETAP.Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety practices.Experience with PLC's, FACP's, instrumentation, and automation systems a plus.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Strong project management and organizational skills.Experience in modular construction, equipment integration, system validation.Familiarity with sustainable and energy-efficient design practices.Experience in managing electrical subcontractors and vendors.Knowledge of project budgeting and cost estimationPhysical Requirements :
Work in typical office environment and as required in a production environment, exposed to loud noise, dust particles, and an indoor environment that is not climate controlled.Regularly wear personal protective equipment steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear plugs.Ability to travel to project sites for occasional field work.May require lifting of equipment or materials up to 25 lbs.At Sabre Industries, we invest in your future with a competitive benefits program.
