Position Overview

The Senior Tax Manager will lead the tax planning and compliance efforts for a diverse clientele, focusing on healthcare, construction, and non‑profit sectors. This role is critical in ensuring clients adhere to tax regulations while maximizing their tax efficiencies. The ideal candidate will have a strong generalist tax background and work closely with clients to address their unique tax needs and challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead tax compliance and planning for a diverse portfolio of clients in healthcare, construction, and non‑profit sectors.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize client tax positions.
  • Review and approve federal and state tax returns prepared by team members.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior staff and oversee their work on tax projects.
  • Stay updated on tax legislation changes and assess their impact on clients.
  • Manage client relationships and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate tax planning with overall business strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA certification is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management, preferably with a focus on healthcare, construction, and non‑profit industries.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
