This is a Full-Time position located in the Maintenance Department at Graceland with working hours of 6:30 am until 3:00 pm to include weekends, holidays, evenings, and overtime as required. Benefits will be offered after successful completion of a sixty (60) day introductory period. This is a promotional opportunity and is an internal/external recruitment.

RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is responsible for cleaning and preparing surfaces by sanding, scraping, patching, or washing to ensure proper paint adhesion. This includes filling cracks, holes, and other surface imperfections with appropriate materials. Will use paint brushes, rollers, or sprayers, ensuring a consistent and high-quality finish. Protective measures must be taken to cover and safeguard areas not intended to be painted. Additional responsibilities include performing minor drywall or surface repairs prior to painting, cleaning tools and equipment after use, and maintaining a tidy work area. Must follow all safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES: Candidate must be proficient in painting techniques and tools, with the ability to apply paint precisely and consistently. A strong attention to detail is essential, as is the ability to mix and match paint colors accurately. This role requires someone who can prioritize tasks, work independently with minimal supervision, and operate effectively in public or high-traffic areas while maintaining a safe and professional environment for staff and guests. Must be able to manage multiple responsibilities under pressure, interact professionally with a wide range of individuals, and handle sensitive issues with discretion and confidentiality.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time; ability to lift to ninety (90) pounds, stoop, reach, ability to climb ladders.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS: Demonstrated experience in maintenance; no smoking or eating in the work area must have a valid driver's license.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Work flexible hours and overtime as required; work flexible/variable hours to include weekends and on call; work in all types of weather conditions.
