Licensed Physical Therapist

Full time - 3 month contract

Time split between two locations :

  • Monday, Tuesday and Thursday - 9am to 6pm - Los Alamitos, CA location
  • Wednesday and Friday - 9am to 6pm - Costa Mesa, CA location

    • $50hr to $55hr depending on experience.

    Physical therapy clinic providing the highest quality of care through hands-on techniques, facilitating pain relief and functional recovery from therapeutic exercise and home programs is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist to join their team.

    Summary : In this position you will be working with patients to improve their movement and manage their pain with a treatment plan. Using a variety of techniques to help patients, including hands-on therapy, strengthening and stretching exercises, electrical stimulation, ultrasound and ice / heat.

    Responsibilities :

  • Reviewing patient medical histories.
  • Diagnosing patients by observing their movements and listening to their concerns.
  • Developing individualized patient treatment plans.
  • Outlining clear patient goals and the expected plan outcomes.
  • Using exercises, stretching, equipment and hands-on therapy to manage patients' pain, increase mobility and prevent further pain and injury.
  • Recording patient progress and modifying the plan of care if needed.
  • Educating patients and family members about the recovery process.

    • Qualifications :

  • Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program.
  • Compassion and empathy for patients, who are often in pain.
  • Thorough knowledge of physical therapy principles and practices.
  • Working knowledge of computer programs.
  • Attention patient's problems to analyze what they need to ease their pain and to prevent further injury.
  • Physical stamina to lift patients and spend long hours standing and modeling exercises.
  • Interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with patients and motivate them.
  • Communication skills to interact clearly with doctors and family members as well as patients.
