This role supports the development and enhancement of Maverik’s NITROSS system by contributing to project planning, design discussions, and the delivery of high-quality, secure software. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, support application maintenance, remediate vulnerabilities, and ensure our systems meet Maverik’s technical standards while staying current on emerging technologies and security requirements.

Location / Schedule :
This role is based at our Salt Lake City Headquarters with a 4-day hybrid in-office schedule .
Position Summary & Day-to-Day Responsibilities :
This role contributes to building, testing, and maintaining NITROSS and POS-related applications by writing high-quality code, supporting system improvements, and collaborating with development teams.
- Contribute to development efforts across project teams with varying levels of experience and skill.
- Support team tasks to ensure projects stay on track for successful completion.
- Participate in architectural and design feasibility discussions and assist with prototype development.
- Write high-quality code and documentation while following Maverik’s software development process.
- Test, debug, and support existing applications by updating and enhancing the NITROSS system.
- Remediate vulnerabilities and ensure applications meet PCI and security standards.
- Communicate updates, roadblocks, and recommended solutions to managers and leadership.
- Participate in cross-functional development and integration projects involving end users and external technology partners.
- Stay current on evolving PCI / security standards and emerging technologies relevant to NITROSS.
- Additional duties as assigned.

Pay Range : $70,000–$80,000 + DOE and Bonus Opportunities
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Maverik considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
